Courses We Currently Offer: Concealed Carry Certification Course This class meets the training requirements for you to begin the process of obtaining your Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit. We cover legal responsibilities, safety, and the fundamentals of carrying a concealed firearm. Handgun Safety & Fundamentals Ideal for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their skills. Focused on semi-automatic pistols, this class covers proper handling, storage, safe operation, and shooting techniques. Coming Soon: We're expanding! Future courses will include Shotgun and Rifle training with the same level of expert instruction and emphasis on safety and skill development. We’re excited about what’s ahead at Virginia Tactical Shooting Academy as we continue to grow and expand our training programs to reach more individuals and communities. Upcoming Courses & Programs: Shotgun & Rifle Fundamentals These new classes will introduce students to the safe handling, operation, and maintenance of shotguns and rifles. Whether you're interested in home defense, hunting, or competitive shooting, these courses will provide a strong foundation in long-gun use. Youth & Teen Firearm Safety Courses Designed specifically for teens and young adults, these classes focus on age-appropriate firearm safety, awareness, and responsibility. We aim to educate the next generation of shooters with a strong emphasis on safety, respect for firearms, and proper technique—while making learning engaging and approachable. Outdoor Range Training Experience We are actively working to secure new training locations—including access to outdoor shooting ranges. This will allow students to experience the benefits of outdoor shooting, including: Engaging in real-world shooting environments Learning to adapt to varying distances, weather, and terrain Opportunities for more advanced drills and live-fire scenarios A chance to move beyond static indoor lanes to dynamic and practical applications Our goal is to offer a broader range of training environments and reach more communities throughout Virginia.
